12 Reflections of 2012

1). Next to Michael Jackson's death, Whitney Houston's death was the hardest on me. Her voice was the greatest I've heard in my lifetime so far. I'll miss her and will always honor her by singing her songs loudly for all to hear, somewhat off-key and all :-)

2). My favorite movies of the year were D'Jango, Les Misérables, Avengers, Lawless, and Skyfall. I live for a theatrical thrill!

3). There were quite a few untrue stories that turned viral (Kony 2012, Morgan Freeman's death, the Abercrombie "nigger" pants, a deadly spider that lives in your toilet, etc). People sure do love to wallow in their own ignorance for the sake of being the first to report the latest. Whomp!

4). The exploitation of children via social media has become ridiculous. Allow your child to learn more from life than the latest studded boots and Apple products. Let your kids live!!!

5). Scandal was the breakout show of 2012. If you haven't watched Kerry Washington wreck shop on ABC's hit primetime show, I suggest you take a gander!

6). Too many females want to be the wife, ex-wife, girlfriend, side chick of someone famous instead of making a name for themselves. Low self-esteem runs rampant but that's better than being alone right?

7). I've noticed that a lot of men that are dating are also momma's boys...and still attached to the teat. A future post is coming, you can bet your bottom dollar on it.

8). Good music is out there, you just have to turn off your radio and do a little research. Bless your eardrums with some new refreshing music.

9). 2012 was THE year for memes and funny e-cards. From Olivia's (The Cosby Show) hilarious convo's with her friends to President Obama's reelection, no one was spared.

10). The Fifty Shades of Gray series had most women salivating and fantasizing about a real life Christian Gray. I couldn't jump on that bandwagon, no matter how much I love to read.

11). We indeed survived the end of the Mayan year. Too bad we still have to live with the idiots who thought otherwise.

12). Despite the many tragedies of this year, I still have more good memories/experiences than bad. And even if the same isn't for you, remember: Every new second, minute, hour, day is a chance to change to whatever makes you unhappy. Tomorrow is never promised so make everything you do count!

HAPPY NEW YEAR MY LOVES!!! THANKS FOR READING MY BLOG THIS YEAR! STAY TUNED FOR MORE ^_^
